Dr. Julie Teetsov

Dr. Julie Teetsov has taught Celestial Navigation for various maritime institutions and yacht clubs including the National Women’s Sailing Association, SSCA, Annapolis School of Seamanship, and West Marine. She is currently cruising with her husband, Larry Shaffer, aboard s/v Miss Kathleen in Panama. Julie worked for many years as a scientist for General Electric's Nanotechnology program before deciding to leave the corporate.

She is now teaching yoga and has developed her own coaching business, working with people to create a life they love, in greater integrity with their life's purpose. She holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and is certified in life coaching and yoga from various institutes: the Kripalu Center for the Healing Arts, the Empowerment Institute, and the Ford Institute for Integrative Coaching.
